With the introduction of Part P in 2005 and the new IEE 17 Edition Wiring Regulations in 2008 there are many new rules and regulations to follow & abide by to increase the safety of electricity in the home & workplace.

All of our testing is carried out in accordance with the 17th Edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations, BS7671, to which our electrical contractors are trained and qualified too, enabling TBG to offer a wide range of electrical testing services.
Periodic Inspection Report
A periodic inspection will test the state of the fixed electrical wiring, and the safety of an electrical installation. It will test, for example, if there are any potential Fire & Electrical shock risks in the installation.
At a convenient time for you, one of our fully qualified Electricians will carry out the test & inspection to the highest standards. Not only will we be able to offer you a Periodic Inspection Report, but also advice for the frequency and extent of future tests, recommendations for any remedial measures required but above all, peace of mind.
This testing can be carried out in either your home or business premises. The Periodic Inspection Report is also known as PIR.
Landlords Certificate
The Landlords certificate is a Periodic Inspection that checks the electrical safety of a property. Following the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985, landlords are obliged to keep in repair and proper working order the installations for the water, gas and electricity supplies.
Most letting agencies are now requesting electrical reports before they will let the premises.
The electrical testing will be carried out by one of our fully qualified electricians, at a time convenient for you. We w! ill then provide you with a Periodic Inspection Report and, if needed, recommendation sheets for any test failures.
Homebuyers Certificate
The homebuyers or pre-purchase electrical testing is also a Periodic Inspection. It gives you the peace of mind that the property you are purchasing is electrically sound similar to a general survey, but in more detail of the electrical system.
As always, the testing is carried out by one of our qualified engineers at your convenience, with a certificate, and if necessary, a recommendation sheet with the suggested corrections for any items that failed the testing.
